Mike Reddy, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Genetics and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He administers research grants on DNA replication/repair and protein synthesis.

Before joining NIGMS, Reddy was a discipline scientist in the planetary sciences division at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and a program director at the National Science Foundation. Previously, he was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the department of biochemistry and chemistry. 

Reddy earned a B.A. and M.A. in biology/molecular and cellular biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo followed by a Ph.D. in molecular microbiology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Molecular Biology at the University of Oregon.
