Webinar for U-RISE and MARC Training Program (T34) Applicants

Are you preparing a grant application for the Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE) or the Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) T34 training programs? If so, please join our webinar to learn about the programs and application components. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask us questions:

During the webinar, we’ll provide a broad overview of the programs, and share our expectations for applications and the required data tables for the upcoming May 26, 2023, receipt date. We’ll also reiterate compliance information to help you avoid issues that could lead to application withdrawal.

Marie is a program director in the Division of Training and Workforce Development. She manages programs that include institutional training awards and career development awards. She also manages grants in the chemical biology portfolio in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry.

Lameese Akacem

Lameese, who trained in integrative physiology, is a program director in the Division of Training and Workforce Development. She manages institutional training programs and postdoctoral fellowships. She also manages circadian biology research grants in the Division of Genetics and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.

Kalynda Gonzales Stokes

Kalynda is a Program Officer in the Division of Training and Workforce Development, managing grants that include institutional training awards, research education programs, individual fellowships, and career development awards. She also manages cell biology grants involving processes that regulate endocytosis and the endo-lysosomal network in the Division of Genetics and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.

Baishali Maskeri

Baishali is a molecular biologist who manages grants in the area of cell death, autophagy, and homeostasis, as well as membrane biology and organelle biogenesis.
