During the webinar, we’ll provide a broad overview of the program and note important changes to the funding opportunity announcement. We’ll also share our expectations of applications and the required data tables for the upcoming October receipt dates. Additionally, you’ll receive compliance information to help avoid issues that could lead to application withdrawal. You can send questions before the webinar to Shakira Nelson and Edgardo Falcón-Morales or post them in the chat box during the event.

Shakira is a Program Officer in the Division of Training and Workforce Development (TWD). With a background in immunology and infectious diseases, she oversees several T32 basic biomedical programs, and has a small portfolio in Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry (PPBC) focusing on systemic immune and inflammatory responses.
Edgardo Falcon-Morales

Edgardo Falcón-Morales

Prior to moving to the National Institute on Drug Abuse in October 2024, Edgardo is oversaw the NIGMS Postdoctoral Research Associate Training (PRAT) Program. He also managed grants in the Division of Training and Workforce Development and a portfolio on multi-organ physiology in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry.
