Paula Flicker, Ph.D., is chief of the Biophysics Branch in the Division of Biophysics, Biomedical Technology, and Computational Biosciences. She administers grants dealing with biophysical studies of supramolecular complexes, as well as grants in technologies for structural biology. In addition, she manages training grants in the area of molecular biophysics. Sheis a co-coordinator of the NIH-wide Transformative High Resolution CryoEM Common Fund program.
Before joining NIGMS, Flicker was an assistant professor in the department of molecular biology at Vanderbilt University.
Flicker earned a B.S. in biophysics from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in biophysics from Brandeis University. She conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University; the University of California, Berkeley; and the University of California, San Francisco.
