Stephanie Older, J.D., is the NIGMS communications director and oversees the Institute’s Communications and Public Liaison Branch. In this position, Stephanie and her team communicate the goals and progress of NIGMS-supported research, training programs, and activities.
Prior to joining NIGMS in 2017, Stephanie worked at the National Institute on Drug Abuse for nearly 10 years, starting as deputy press officer and eventually serving as deputy branch chief for communications. Although Stephanie has worked in communications at the NIH for over 15 years, she began her federal career as a law clerk for an administrative law judge at the U.S. Department of Labor.
Stephanie earned a B.A. in communications from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
