Biographical Sketch: Jeremy McIntyre, Ph.D.

Jeremy McIntyre, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Training, Workforce Development, and Diversity. He manages grants in the Graduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (G-RISE), Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE), Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD), and Bridges to the Doctorate programs, Individual Predoctoral Fellowships to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research, and administers the Diversity Supplement Program.​

Prior to joining NIGMS, McIntyre was an assistant professor in the department of neuroscience at the University of Florida. His lab’s research focused on the role of primary cilia signaling in neuronal function. He also directed a summer internship program for undergraduate students interested in pursuing doctoral training.

McIntyre earned a B.S. in neuroscience from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Kentucky. He conducted postdoctoral studies at the University of Michigan and University of Florida.
