NIGMS has provided administrative supplements to institutions with NIGMS institutional training (T32, T34), institutional career development (K12), and certain research education program (R25) awards to enhance the research training environment through the development of evidence-informed activities in the following areas:

The parent award must be active (within the originally reviewed and approved project period) when the supplement application is submitted and may not be in a No-Cost Extension (NCE).
An applicant institution (normally identified by having a unique entity identifier such as DUNS number or
NIH Institutional Profile File - (IPF) may submit only one application in each topic area. For institutions with two or more NIGMS grants, NIGMS expects that the Program Directors/Principal Investigators will cooperate to develop curricula and/or activities that are broadly applicable to individuals at their institution and that a single supplement request will be submitted through one of the eligible NIGMS awards.
Applications for this initiative must be submitted using the following funding opportunity announcement or its subsequent reissued equivalent.
