Biographical Sketch: Edgardo Falcón-Morales, Ph.D.

​Edgardo Falcón-Morales, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist and program director in the Division of Training, Workforce Development, and Diversity. He directs the Postdoctoral Research Associate Training (PRAT) program and manages grants for the Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA) and Training Modules for Enhancing Biomedical Research Workforce Training programs. He also manages scientific conference grants (R13). As part of the NIH Diversity Program Consortium​, he manages grants in the DPC Dissemination and Translation Awards (DPC DaTA) portfolio. He also manages research grants in the area of multi-organ physiology in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry.

Before joining NIGMS, Falcón-Morales was a health program specialist in the Office of Programs to Enhance Neuroscience Workforce Diversity at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Prior to that, Falcón-Morales conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania. 

He earned a B.S. in biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
