Edwin Weeber earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of New Mexico in 1993. He participated in the Minority Biomedical Research Support program as a predoctoral fellow at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where he earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience in 1998. Weeber performed postdoctoral research at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is now a professor in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida, where he is also chief scientific officer of the university’s Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute.
