Diversity Program Alumni Updates: Melvin Limson, Ph.D.

Melvin Limson earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Duke University in 1994 and then worked for 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He returned to school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (UMDNJ-GSBS) where he participated in the Minority Biomedical Research Support program. Limson earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry in 2002 from Rutgers University and the UMDNJ-GSBS, followed by postdoctoral work in the field of science education at the University of Utah's Genetic Science Learning Center and California State University, Los Angeles. He is now the director of education programs at the Association for Molecular Pathology.
