NIGMS Fiscal Year 2018 Budget

On Friday, March 23rd, the President signed the Omnibus spending bill to keep the government running through September 30th. Although the bill has been signed, we are still waiting for guidance from NIH regarding policies for the full year appropriation. The Bill and Report language addresses the following:

  • NIGMS’ Total Appropriation would be nearly $2.785 billion ($139 million increase over the FY2017 Appropriation)
  • PHS funding increases to $922 million ($98 million increase over the FY2017 Appropriation)
  • SEPA funding will be no more than $19.4 million
