Rebecca H. Johnson, Ph.D., is a scientific review officer in the Scientific Review Branch, where she oversees the review of applications for research education and mentoring, postdoctoral/early career, resource, and research grant support. She previously served as the SRO for one of the NIGMS standing scientific review groups that oversee the review of the Institute’s diversity research training programs. Dr. Johnson was formerly a senior staff fellow at the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research of the Food and Drug Administration where she worked on cytokine receptor-mediated signal transduction and participated on drug licensing committees in the Division of Cytokine Biology. Johnson earned a B.S. in Zoology at North Carolina State University and Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She was an NIH IRTA fellow and conducted her postdoctoral research in the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the National Cancer Institute.
