Dr. Isaah Vincent is a Science Review Officer in the NIGMS Scientific Review Branch. As a SRO, he manages Special Emphasis Panels and the TWD-A study section which reviews NRSA Institutional Predoctoral Training Grants. Dr. Vincent received his B.S. from Iowa State and his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. In his graduate and postdoctoral research, he focused on immunoregulation of various immune subsets by the tissue microenvironment along with the regulation of fibrosis within the kidney by NK cells. Before joining NIGMS, Vincent was a AAAS S&T policy fellow and worked in the Office of Disease Prevention at the NIH. There, he supported prevention focused portfolio analyses, trans-NIH working groups, and NIH collaborations with other agencies such as AHRQ and the CDC.
