Biographical Sketch: Mary Ann Wu, Ph.D.

Mary Ann Wu, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Biomedical Technology, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology (BBCB). She administers Biomedical Technology Research Resources awards (P41 activity) primarily in the area of structural biology, and also serves as the BBCB Division contact for the SBIR/STTR program. Before coming to NIGMS, Wu was a program officer in the Division of Biomedical Technology, and the SBIR program director at the former National Center for Research Resources. Before that, she was a protein crystallographer in the Laboratory for the Structure of Matter at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.  Wu earned a B.S in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a Ph.D. in chemistry from The Catholic University of America.
