Biographical Sketch: Peter Lyster, Ph.D.

Peter Lyster, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Biophysics, Biomedical Technology, and Computational Biosciences, where he manages grants in molecular modeling, theory, and design. He also plays an active role in the NIH Biomedical Information Science and Technology Initiative. Prior to joining NIGMS, Lyster was a program director at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, NIH. He earned a B.S. in theoretical physics and electrical engineering from Adelaide University and a Ph.D. in applied physics from Cornell University. Lyster conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin.
