Biographical Sketch: Régine A. Douthard, M.D., M.P.H.

Régine A. Douthard, M.D., M.P.H., is a medical officer in the Center for Research Capacity Building, where she administers Institutional Development Award (IDeA) program grants. In addition, she oversees the dual degree, individual predoctoral F30 fellowship program. Before coming to NIGMS, Douthard was a medical officer in the Division of Research Infrastructure at the former National Center for Research Resources. During her tenure there, she oversaw Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) program grants. Douthard earned an M.D. from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Libreville, Gabon, and an M.P.H. from Emory University. She completed a residency in family practice and a fellowship in environmental and occupational medicine at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
