Sean Simpson earned his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Harvard University in 2002. He went on to participate in the Minority Biomedical Research Support program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he received a Ph.D. in biostatistics in 2008. He is now an assistant professor of statistical genetics and bioinformatics at Wake Forest University Health Sciences, where he is also an affiliate of the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity and a member of the Laboratory for Complex Brain Networks.
