Diversity Program Alumni Updates: Lisan L. Parker, Ph.D.
Lisan Parker was a Minority Access to Research Careers undergraduate student at Barry University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry in 1997. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in pharmacology from Vanderbilt University in 2003, followed by postdoctoral research at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Parker is now scientific liaison for the TB Alliance, a non-profit organization aimed at accelerating the discovery and development of new tuberculosis drugs. Prior to that, she was a research biologist at Merck Research Laboratories.
