Farah Lubin was a Minority Access to Research Careers undergraduate student at Alabama State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology in 1996. She received her Ph.D. in cell molecular immunology from Binghamton University in 2001, followed by two postdoctoral fellowships in molecular neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. Lubin is now an assistant professor of neuroscience and cell biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
