Diversity Program Alumni Updates: Jason Biggs, Ph.D.

Jason Biggs participated in the Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) program at all stages of his education. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology in 1997 followed by a master's degree in biology in 2000, both at the University of Guam. He went on to receive a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Utah in 2005, where, in addition to MBRS support, he received a Research Supplement to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research. Biggs is now an assistant professor of biology at the University of Guam Marine Laboratory and an adjunct professor at the University of Guam Cancer Research Center.
