Q. Important: Why was NOT-RR-11-001 published?
A. NIH wants to clarify that applicants may request a project that lasts up to 5 years. There are some internal inconsistencies in the originally published program announcement.
Q. Important: Why was NOT-HL-11-132 published?
A. It is intended to clarify that NHLBI withdraws from participation in PA-11-009. NIGMS can take assignment on K23 applications in areas that might arguably be studying a “paradigm for pharmacogenomics.” NHLBI's standing K23 program will accept conventional K23 applications that adhere to NHLBI guidelines in cardiovascular-pulmonary-sleep areas. NIGMS will take assignment on K23 applications in areas that might arguably be studying a “paradigm for pharmacogenomics.”
Q. Important: Why was NOT-OD-11-008 published?
A. NIH is transitioning to the use of new Adobe B1 forms, which are required for F, T, K and D funding opportunity announcements beginning January 25, 2011. These forms will not be available until around December 2010. The first due date for PA-11-009 is February 12, 2011, and will require the new forms.
