CDC Evaluation Working Group , supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, provides numerous links to public health evaluation and logic model resources. This group developed a Framework for Program Evaluation that summarizes and organizes the basic elements of program evaluation in public health.
Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University provides information on its evaluation checklists project and links to its evaluation reports. The Evaluation Center also maintains a directory of evaluators, developed with support from the National Science Foundation.
Program Evaluation at Penn State University , College of Agricultural Sciences, Cooperative Extension and Outreach, provides evaluation planning tools including tipsheets, such as No. 6, "Reduce Evaluation Burden"; No. 25, "Margin of Error: How to Explain It"; No. 34, "Increasing Response to Surveys"; and No. 45, "Which Program Should I Evaluate?"
The Evaluators' Institute offers short-term professional development courses for practicing evaluators. Course topics include the basics of program evaluation, evaluation models and theory, qualitative methods to show causal connections and performance measurement.
University of Wisconsin, Division of Cooperative Extension, Program Development and Evaluation provides evaluation planning tools, sample questionnaires, data collection and analysis guidance, samples and guidance on logic models, and reporting ideas. It uses extension-related examples.
