Arthur Zachary, Ph.D., is a scientific review officer in the Office of Scientific Review. He is responsible for managing the review of a variety of research and research training grant applications. Before joining NIGMS, Zachary was a research assistant professor in the department of biological chemistry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He earned a B.S. in biology from Brooklyn College and a Ph.D. in marine science/microbiology from the College of William and Mary. Zachary conducted postdoctoral research at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, the University of Maryland College Park and the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
