Biographical Sketch: Lee Slice, Ph.D.

Lee W. Slice, Ph.D., is a scientific review officer in the Office of Scientific Review. He manages the review of Instrument Development for Biomedical Applications and Institutional Development Award (IDeA) program grants. Before coming to NIGMS, Slice was a scientific review officer in the Office of Scientific Review at the former National Center for Research Resources. Prior to that, Slice was an associate professor of medicine in the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned a B.A. in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. Lee conducted postdoctoral research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
