Biographical Sketch: Douglas M. Sheeley, Sc.D.

Douglas M. Sheeley, Sc.D., is a senior scientific officer in the Division of Biomedical Technology, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology. He serves as a program director for the Models of Infectious Disease Agent Study (MIDAS) program and the project team leader for the NIH Common Fund Technology Centers for Networks and Pathways program. Sheeley formerly worked at Glaxo Wellcome, where his research focused on bioanalytical chemistry and the development of therapeutic biological molecules. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from Dickinson College and a Sc.D. in nutritional biochemistry from Harvard University. Sheeley conducted postdoctoral research at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute.
