Paul Sheehy, Ph.D., is the deputy associate director for extramural activities. He is responsible for overseeing the management of NIGMS research and training grants and the development of grant-related policies. Prior to joining NIGMS, Sheehy was a program director in the neurodegeneration cluster at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), NIH. He earned a Sc.B. in biophysics from Brown University and a Ph.D. in physiology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Sheehy conducted postdoctoral research at NINDS.
