Judith Greenberg, Ph.D., has been acting director of NIGMS since July 2011. Prior to that, she was the director of the Division of Genetics and Developmental Biology and served as a project officer for the NIGMS Human Genetic Cell Repository. Before joining NIGMS, Greenberg was a senior staff fellow at the former National Institute of Dental Research, NIH. She earned a B.S. in biology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in biology from Bryn Mawr College.
