Jean Chin, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Cell Biology and Biophysics. She is responsible for administering grants in lipid metabolism, membrane biochemistry and biophysics, and transport. Before joining NIGMS, Chin was a senior staff fellow in the Cell Biology and Metabolism Branch at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, NIH. She earned a B.S. in chemistry from Simmons College and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Dartmouth College. Chin conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard University.
