Juliana Blome, Ph.D., is chief of the Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation. She is involved in program planning, analysis and evaluation across NIGMS. Blome also manages two grant programs: institutional training at the interface of the biomedical and behavioral sciences and research on the career patterns of women in science. In addition, Blome serves as the Institute’s Legislative Liaison. Prior to joining NIGMS, she was acting chief of the evaluation branch in the NIH Office of the Director. Blome earned an M.P.H. in sociomedical sciences and a Ph.D. in sociology from Columbia University.
