Biographical Sketch: Richard Anderson, Ph.D.

Richard Anderson, M.D., Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Genetics and Developmental Biology, where he manages research grants in the area of cell growth and differentiation. He also serves as project officer for the NIGMS Human Genetic Cell Repository and scientific officer for the NIH Pharmacogenetics Research Network. Prior to joining NIGMS, Anderson worked as an associate professor in the departments of internal medicine and pathology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He earned an M.D. and a Ph.D. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University. Anderson was a clinical associate at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, NIH.
