Douglas M. Sheeley, Sc.D., is a senior scientific officer in the Division of Biomedical Technology, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology. He co-leads the Biomedical Technology Research Resources (BTRRs) program and serves as the program director for the Models of Infectious Disease Agent Study (MIDAS) program. Sheeley is also the project team leader for the NIH Common Fund Technology Centers for Networks and Pathways program. He formerly worked at Glaxo Wellcome, where his research focused on bioanalytical chemistry and the development of therapeutic biological molecules. Sheeley earned a B.S. in chemistry from Dickinson College and a Sc.D. in nutritional biochemistry from Harvard University. He conducted postdoctoral research at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute.
