On March 26, 2013, the President signed a full-year continuing resolution (H.R. 933) into law. As a result of the sequestration that was automatically triggered by the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act, the NIGMS full-year appropriation was reduced by about 5 percent compared to FY 2012. For FY 2013, the NIGMS operating budget is $2,291,294,437. For details, see http://www.nigms.nih.gov/About/Budget/FY2013Plan.htm
